About Lisa

Lisa Mueller

Lisa Mueller is the founder and creator of the Nation2Nation Forums. She is an aboriginal consultant, community builder and workshop facilitator recognized as a young and upcoming voice and connector in the First Nation Community in BC.

Lisa is passionate about building long-term relationships with First Nation leaders, government officials, industry, and to share their perspectives on economic development. She is known for her ability to bring together First Nations, private industry and government so they can have meaningful and respectful conversations. Her focus is always on connecting people and being a bridge between First Nations, private industry and government. She works hard to bring the right stakeholders to the conversation.

Driven by her passion to see First Nations more involved in business, the provincial and national economy she felt compelled to create a platform for First Nations leaders to share their perspectives on economic development and major projects. The inaugural Nation2Nation Forum was held in Terrace in November 2015 and was an outstanding success.

Since then Lisa has held successful Nation2Nation Forums in Vancouver, Victoria and the Annual Forum in Terrace as well as other luncheons and roundtables.

Lisa was born in Bella Coola, BC and raised in the Cariboo-Chilcotin, she’s the youngest of 7 siblings. Her mother is from Tl’etinqox First Nation (west of Williams Lake) and her father from Lower Sillisia (German).

Lisa is also a committed community volunteer and has spent over 10+ years serving as a Rotary member, sitting on the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy Committee, and Chair of North Coast Women in Business.

Lisa worked in the private sector for more than 10 years in a variety of positions including office administration, customer service and as a mortgage consultant for Manulife Bank of Canada before becoming an aboriginal consultant and workshop facilitator. Based in Terrace she has a team of associates throughout British Columbia, who assist her on projects.
